We steadfastly refuse to use agricultural chemicals on our ingredients. Instead, we use Miyazaki Beni Kotobuki sweet potatoes and Aigamo rice grown by ourselves at our subsidiary agricultural production company, Aguri Company Ltd., using organic fertilisers as the main ingredients. In order to satisfy our particularities about quality, we started up our own farm and toiled through a lengthy process of trial and error to create top quality ingredients.

Kurayami has a pure, rich flavour and a full-blooded aroma of sweet potato that titillates the nasal passage. It also has a depth which is unique to unrefined shochu, while its 40% alcohol content gives it a strong punch that makes Kurayami a drink for all fans of sweet potato shochu.
